Juno Award Winner & 2024 Piano Player of the Year
The Legendary Blues and Boogie Woogie piano master Kenny “Blues Boss” Wayne was inducted on August 9, 2017, into the Boogie Woogie Piano Hall of Fame at the Arches Piano Stage while performing at the Cincy Blues Festival in Cincinnati, Ohio.
In 2023, The Blues Boss was honored to receive the prestigious ‘Bobby Blue Bland’ Lifetime Achievement Award from JUS BLUES MUSIC FOUNDATION of Atlanta, Georgia!!
He is hailed by LIVING BLUES magazine as “an artist bringing the piano back to the front ranks of contemporary Blues “. This 2006 Juno Award winner and a multiple Maple Blues Award, 2024 Living Blues Magazine award and 2024 Blues Blast Magazine winner and a 2024 Blues Music Award winner is at the forefront of modern-day blues piano practitioners.
Russell Jackson
Former B.B. King Bassist & Blues Hall of Fame Inductee
A master of both electric and acoustic bass, Russell Jackson has a long and illustrious career spanning more than five decades.
“The Groove Guru” spent seven years in BB King’s band, as well as working and/or recording with Katie Webster, Lucky Peterson, Kenny Neal, Matt Guitar Murphy, and Otis Clay, among the many.
More recently, when not busy with his own band, Russell works with Kenny “Blues Boss” Wayne, and as a founding member of the newly reinvigorated Silent Partners (the world's greatest rhythm section), backed Diunna Greenleaf, Lurrie Bell, Joe Louis Walker and many more.
The Russell Jackson Band is available for bookings for concerts, festivals, corporate and private functions in North America and globally.
