This show is a fundraiser for the Central Okanagan Heritage Society. Doors open at 6pm, show starts at 7pm.

The Central Okanagan Heritage Society is a non-profit, registered charity that was incorporated in 1982, and operates with a volunteer board of directors and several part-time staff. The mission of the Society is to “build awareness of the distinct heritage of the Central Okanagan through Conservation, Collaboration, Advocacy and Education for the benefit of current and future generations.”

This fundraiser will enable COHS to keep preserving/maintaining our Heritage Designated Buildings, as well as continuing our work advocating for and educating our community about all things heritage.

ANDREW JOHNS
Do what you LOVE! You’ll do it WELL! And when you do something well, you’ll always be rewarded for it. These are the words Andrew Johns lives by. The “one man band” man who always gives more than is expected “loves” what he does, and it shows. This world traveler brings his energy, commitment and reliability to every event he plays no matter what, no matter where and no matter with who! He’s performed with Alex Lifeson (RUSH) Tommy Thayer (KISS) Don Felder (Eagles) Robbie Krieger (DOORS) and of course Alice Cooper every year for his golf charity. Andrew brings his unique style of performance and humor and takes the audience on a gradual ride through the ages of music. From Victor Borge styled classical all the way to the latest pop hits and everything in between. Ask his clients who he compares to, and they say “no one”. There’s no one like Andrew Johns for variety, spontaneousness, great sound and performance and reliability. Andrew is the consummate performer who personifies professionalism and pure talent.

Andrew loves to make people smile, invoke emotion through his cover tunes, impersonations, or the odd original song mixed in. His Elton John impersonation is one of the best in the world right now and with the retirement of Sir Elton the demand for this will only grow. His new Elton John tribute band “The Yellow Brick Road Experience” is actually what takes up most of Andrew’s time these days and it’s just picking up steam. With massively successful shows already in the Okanagan and tours planned overseas including Dubai, UK and Australia this band of talented pros has no foreseeable limits. Also, he is writing the 4th Boulevard album with co-writer Mark Holden at Bryan Adams studio in Vancouver. The band had major success in the 80s touring with Glass Tiger and Boston and have now teamed up with world class producer Garth Richardson for this next foray.

Andrew believes as Wayne Dyer once said, “all we can do with our life is give it away” and Andrew gives more than almost any other performer with his time, charity (annually with Alice Cooper for example) and effort in his performance. You will definitely get MORE THAN EXPECTED every time with Andrew Johns!

RYAN DONN
Our opening performer is a local resident, Scottish Canadian Singer/Songwriter, Ryan Donn. His songs have been featured on radio stations throughout the Okanagan including original singles “In this life”, “There for you”, and “Yeah Yeah”.
