Join us for live music (perfect for kids ages 3-12) and games on the grass at Mackie Lake House.

Be sure to bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit on - and get comfortable! Music starts at 11:00, but visitors can stay the afternoon. Mackie Lake House is a picnic-encouraged site, and we will have lawn games and beach access available. * Bring your own pillow and book and find a nook to read, or your art supplies and sketch or paint. Site closes at 4:00 pm.

Sign up for a guided tour of Mackie Lake House, open from 1:00 - 4:00 pm, by donation. Families are also welcome to explore other areas of the site, including the veranda, barn, root cellar and Fylton Forest.

This is an outdoor event in July. Please dress appropriately for the weather, seek shade, bring sunscreen and water.

No pets permitted on site.

About Kym Gouchie: With ancestral roots in the Lheidli T’enneh, Cree and Secwépemc Nations, Kym Gouchie is fostering change through her music and art. Her music and storytelling bring awareness to First Nations and women’s issues, promoting reconciliation and community building while reminding us that we are all in this together. Her stories are a testament to the human spirit, weaving together threads of her own journey from personal tragedy to triumph.

Kym’s traditional hand drum, acoustic guitar, full-bodied voice and authentic storytelling make her a powerful force. Her newest album, Shun Beh Nats'ujeh: We Are Healing Through Songs.
