The Vernon Folk Roots Music Society present James Keelaghan, Canada’s finest singer-songwriter, and Jez Lowe, the UK’s busiest folk and acoustic performer. They join forces for a special evening of artistic collaboration at The Vernon Jazz Club.

James Keelaghan is an artist who has proven to be a man for all seasons. For almost a quarter of a century now, this poet laureate of the folk and roots music world has gone about his work with a combination of passion, intent and curiosity. Fusing his insatiable appetite for finding the next unique storyline, Keelaghan also forges his music with brilliantly defined craftsmanship and a monogrammed artistic vision, making him one of the most distinctive and readily identifiable voices of the international singer-songwriter community.

Over the past four decades, Jez Lowe has performed for audiences around the world, either accompanying himself on guitar, harmonica, cittern or mandolin, or with his long-time band, The Bad Pennies. Acknowledged as a national treasure on the UK folk circuit and beyond, his songs are among the most widely recorded by other performers.
